Jesus Chair, Spongebob Bed, or Desk Chair of Doom.

I have this chair, the most comfortable chair I have ever owned, and it sits in the corner of my room next to my desk. It's a beige chair. On the back of the chair hangs my most prized blanket. It's one of those sweatshirt blankets so it is very warm in the cold. When I sit in this chair, I read the Bible. I have "Quiet Times" every day to start my day off or end my day the right way. This chair is the perfect blend of comfortable, and rigid. It needs to be comfortable for me not to be miserable, but also not too soft and slouchy so as to not fall asleep when reading if I'm up early, or up late at night. I love this chair. I call it the Jesus Chair. I sit in it for other occasions too. Sometimes to watch TV or listen to my Ipod, but every day that chair gets sat on when I read the Bible. As you sit in this comfortable chair, you can look to the left and find the most comfortable invention ever created: the bed. Now I know better than to do my homework in my bed or else I'd fall asleep every time, but I do the fun reading in my bed. There are so many positions one can take while reading in a bed versus reading in a chair. I can sit up with my back against the wall when I'm really interested in a book. When I'm feeling like laying down I can throw the book on the other end and lay on my stomach. Or my all time favorite, laying down in bed with all the covers around me and the book is propped up to the side. No matter which position I choose to read in, I prefer reading in my bed. Not far from the bed, you will find the desk chair. With a back straight up and down, and a comfortable bottom, this is the chair for serious reading.  When I am forced to read plays like Hamlet for school, or long books that I find hard to keep interest in, I plop myself into the desk chair and there is zero way to fall asleep or be distracted. When I look up there's a blank computer screen, a lamp, and a blank white wall. Perfect scenery for focusing I would say. I definitely have a system when it comes to where I like to read. I've actually thought about it before and for the most part I think my system works well. Now if only I could find a system for Math, maybe I would get my Pre-Calculus homework done then...
Beige chair plus...
slouch chair equals Jesus Chair :)

  1. This is so interesting, I've never thought of chairs in this way. I love that you have different spots where you read and do your homework. I just do my homework on my bed and I am guilty of falling asleep! I wish I had a beige chair in my room!
